Fans of old times and manufacture should recommend the paper mill in Duszniki-Zdrój, unique in Europe, which houses the Museum of Papermaking. The first records about the Duszniki paper mill date back to 1562, and the history of paper production in this place can be traced at the Museum’s permanent exhibition. In addition to various temporary exhibitions, hand-made paper production is still present here, which you can see by taking part in workshops. Handmade paper will certainly be a unique souvenir from your stay in this part of Poland. And if you get here in July, you can take part in the annual event called “Paper Festival” – in addition to learning paper-making techniques and numerous workshops, you can take part in competitions with prizes or buy a souvenir at one of the stands of paper artists or handicraft or regional products.
