There’s nothing like the mountains
Lasówka and the Sudetes are a real eldorado for both lovers of active recreation and those who enjoy communing with nature from the position of a deckchair.
Lots of routes and trails, both asphalt for road and city bikes, and forest ones, more suitable for trekking, encourage cycling trips. On all weekends from May to September, a Czech cyclobus (bus with a bicycle trailer) runs in the area, so you can plan a longer trip without having to cover the whole thing on 2 wheels. There are as many as 11 lines to choose from, scattered throughout the Czech Republic and the Orlické Mountains, several of them leading through nearby Orlické Záhoří.
Hiking enthusiasts will certainly appreciate the forest trails, gentle hills and plenty of peaks to climb, with observation points and towers offering picturesque panoramas of the Sudetes. Summer is also a perfect opportunity to start an adventure with the Crown of Polish Mountains – in the immediate vicinity there are as many as 5 peaks that are part of this mountain challenge.
Local accommodation
Roller skate and roller skiing enthusiasts will also find suitable training conditions in Lasówka. Our type is a route to the reservoir in Rudawa and back, totaling approximately 22 km. Depending on your fitness and skills, you can extend it and choose one of the following variants: start in Duszniki-Zdrój (many climbs) or Zieleniec and head towards Lasówka and Rudawa, finishing near Przełęcz nad Porębą (intersection with road 389).
And if for you relaxation is synonymous with contemplating nature in a hammock, evenings by the fire or looking at the starry sky, your stay in Lasówka will not disappoint you either. Most facilities offer a barbecue and bonfire area as well as a relaxation area, and the August nights of shooting stars gain new fans every year.
If you lack water to be completely happy, here are our tips: a camping site with a descent to Dzika Orlica at the entrance to Lasówka from Zieleniec, a small waterfall in Młoty (next to a shelter with benches), an intimate reservoir in Rudawa at the OW “Orlica”, a hotel swimming pool in Horska Chata in Orlické Záhoří and the outdoor swimming pool in Žamberk.
